Privacy
Maestro is free, has no accounts or ads and collects no data about the people who use it. Your scores stay on your computer. Below, point by point, is when the app goes online and what the website counts.

The Maestro app
Maestro has no usage statistics, accounts, ads or tracking. Scores, templates, preferences and backups stay on your computer and are never sent anywhere.
The app goes online only in these cases:
- Updates: once a day it reads the latest version number from the Maestro website. Like any web page, the request carries your IP address and the version of Maestro and of your system. You can turn the check off in the settings (on the Mac in Settings → General). Maestro installed from the Microsoft Store does not check: the Store delivers the updates.
- Sounds: when you choose to download a sound bank, Maestro downloads it from the Maestro website or, for VSCO 2, from GitHub.
- Links: the manual, help pages and other links open in your browser.
Reports and crash reports
If Maestro quits unexpectedly, at the next launch it offers to send us the report: version, system and where in the program it stopped, without the contents of your scores. With “Report a File That Doesn’t Open Well” the message contains the file you choose to report, the version, the system and the warnings from opening it.
In both cases Maestro only prepares an email in your mail program: you read it, change it if you like and decide whether to send it. Nothing is sent on its own.
We use these messages only to fix Maestro. Reported files join the collection that every new version checks to make sure they open correctly; we never share them. If you want a file or message deleted, write to us.
The maestroscore.app website
The website counts visits anonymously with GoatCounter: no cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking. Downloads are counted as visits to the download pages. The site is hosted by GitLab Pages, which like any hosting service may briefly log IP addresses for operation and security.
Microsoft Store
If you install Maestro from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download, installation and updates under its own privacy statement. Microsoft gives us only aggregate data (such as the number of installs), never personal data.
Who we are and your rights
Maestro is developed by Arduino Martini. The only personal information we may have is what you send us by email: we use it only to reply and to fix Maestro, and we delete it on request. For any privacy question write to info@maestroscore.app.
